It's been a while.

Hello friends!

It has been quite some time since I've been here to update. I haven't made it a priority and have to say it probably won't be for a while. I guess I don't have the time to commit to it to make it fabulous. I spend sooo much time on Life Preservers that when I'm done there, I don't do much of anything else. It is time for family at that point. It's a good thing my daughter and my son (sometimes) like to scrap with me. I'm going to try to get here and update at least once a week. I really want to get a new background but can't find anything that strikes my fancy.

Winter is almost upon us here in NY. We bought a new (to us) woodstove a couple of weeks ago. and it is finally in. The stove we had last year was so small that we had to get up every four hours to reload it. By the end of Winter we were so ready for it to be over. Our new stove will go for 10-12 hours wihout reloading. Yay!!

I've got to get ready for work.

Have a great day!!

Playing around with my blog

Today, I took the time to play with my blog and have to say that I am quite picky. I want to add a few gadgets but they are showing up way to big. I had my daughter helping, but she gets frustrated when she can't figure things out and I can only take listening to her grumpiness for so long. It's time to take a break from that and move onto other things.

Tonight at 6:00pm I will be joining in on the fun at Life Preservers. They are having an online crop that will last this whole weekend. I don't get as much done as I would like but any little bit helps. And it is a lot of fun.

Thanks for visiting my blog and have a wonderfully scrappy day.

My new look

So here it is. My new look. I have searched and searched for a new look and this is what I finally stumbled upon and immediately knew that this was it. I'd like it to have a little more scrappy look, but NASCAR and Jimmy Johnson are my other passions. Until I see something else that speaks to me and is a little more me, Jimmy Johnson is here to stay.

On to other things. We had a busy weekend. My husband is in the process of making a wood splitter and went north on Saturday to work on that with a friend. My daughter and I stayed home and worked a flip flop album that she wanted to make. I am helping an awful lot though. I am still in the process of making an altered CD Flower Album. So, then we had friends come over for pizza and wings. I had the most divine chocolate cheese cake that my girlfriend made. And finally yesterday, we had a birthday party to go to for my niece.

Thanks for visiting my blog today and have a wonderful day.

A new change is coming soon.

I've been searching for a new look over the past couple of days. Thanks so much to Maggi over at Life Preservers. I want something that is a little more "me" if you know what I mean.

I'm having trouble getting to everything that I want to get done this summer, so far. I thought my life would be a tad easier with being off for the summer but it hasn't quite worked out that way as of yet. I will be updating as time allows and hopefully will be able to get some material for everyone to look at.

Thanks you for visiting my blog and have wonderful day.

Busy Day

Today I took the kids shopping. We were gone for four hours. My daughter bought some fabric to make a quilt for my mother and father in law. I had to buy some adhesive to finish an album I started over the weekend. I hope it works well, I don't usually use anything but Creative Memories adhesive. I also bought a little faux stitching stencil and conned my dear daughter into buying an ink pad. I thought, why do I have to supply all of the scrap goodies for the two of us--she can buy the goodies too. We had to get some groceries as well.

So anyway, we had some trouble with a couple neighborhood kids when I got home and I had to deal with that as my husband wasn't home. Then it was time to cook dinner and do the dishes.

I'm hoping to get more involved with my blog this week and add some more pretties to it. Until then, Happy Scrappin' and have a wonderful day.

A Little Note About Me

Hi, my name is Laurie. I live in Upstate New York in a little town about 30 miles north of Syracuse. I am married to my childhood sweetheart, Greg for 18 years, on July 6, 2009. We have two wonderful children, Stefanie 13 and Austin 9. We have a puppy named Echo 11 months old, who really keeps us moving. She is a border collie/shepherd/lab mix. I wish I had half the energy that she does. In addition to Echo, we have a cat, some fish and chickens.

This is my first attempt at a blog and I hope you enjoy it.
